Paris has always had a relationship with objects that are built to last. The architecture, the furniture, the eyewear. Paris the sunglasses carries that same sensibility — a full round metal frame with spring-loaded articulated temples, lateral rivets and a double bridge construction that reads as deliberately engineered rather than simply assembled. It is the most mechanically complex frame in the Urban Vintage collection, and it shows in the best way.

A round steampunk frame with articulated temples

Paris runs at 51mm wide and 51mm tall — a perfect circle, which is harder to achieve than it sounds in frame manufacturing. The metal construction includes spring-loaded temple joints that allow the arms to flex outward for a comfortable, adjustable fit across different head widths. The lateral rivet detail and the visible double bridge give the frame its distinctly architectural quality — a frame that references Victorian optical instruments and early 20th century Parisian street photography in equal measure. Seventeen colorways from a minimal Black/Black to a mirrored Gold/Pink and a warm Tea/Tea, covering both the understated and the expressive ends of the spectrum.

UV400 with mirror lens options

Scratch resistant eco-friendly polycarbonate lenses with full UV400 protection. Paris is one of two frames in the Urban Vintage collection that includes mirror lens colorways — Black/Silver, Gold/Blue and Gold/Pink mirror — which interact with outdoor light in a way that tinted lenses do not. Mirror lenses reflect the environment back, which under festival lighting or direct sun creates a visual dynamic that photographs particularly well. The Gold/Clear and Silver/Clear options function as optical-style frames while retaining the full architectural character of the frame.

The most architectural frame in the Urban Vintage collection

Paris sits in a specific tradition of round metal eyewear that has moved between jazz clubs, literary cafés, photography studios and festival grounds for over a century without ever feeling out of place. The steampunk construction — the rivets, the articulated temples, the double bridge — gives it a visual weight that its actual 38g do not fully communicate. This is the frame people ask about. It is the frame that appears in the background of photographs taken at outdoor stages and ends up in the caption. If the Urban Vintage collection has one piece that crosses into collector territory, Paris is it.
